Yoga : What to do when you have 10 minutes in the morning?

Personally I have a lot of energy in the morning (most of the time 😅), I guess I am a morning person. So I really naturally wake up between 5:30 and 6:30 pm and generally use the time, energy and of calmness in the house to do my yoga.
Doesn’t mean that it has to be a long yoga practice, it can vary from 10 to 45 minutes, I rarely do more because I want to keep it energizing . l and not be tired right after.

So here are my tips to include yoga in your daily routine :

  1. Start with a gentle child’s pose in your bed: stretching in the morning is so important, our muscles and ligaments stay still or almost for a long period of time, it’s primordial to give them some length and oxygen to avoid any unnecessary tensions.
  2. Take 3 to 5 cat cows with Ujjayi breath to warm up gently. Ujjayi breathing is a breathing technique employed in a variety of Taoist and Yoga practices. It is sometimes called “the ocean breath”.
  3. Take 3 easy Sun Salutations A, drop your knees in Chaturanga if needed
  4. Take 2 Sun Salutations B
  5. Cool down with a nice seated twist in a crossed legged position, then lie down in Happy Baby pose and take a short Savasana . Lie flat on your backs with the heels spread as wide and the arms away from the body, palms facing upwards.
